Updated the main system (x86_64) to kernel 3.8.4, and (incrementally..) updated the Raspberry Pi (armv6), as well.. Latest VMware (9.02) and NVIDIA (313.26 and 310.40) drivers all compile without any patches.. Just updated the main system to Kernel 3.8.3, and everything works, as before. VMware 9.0.2 and NVIDIA 313.26 both compile and install/run without any problems.. Just installed VMware Workstation 9.0.2 – released yesterday – and it compiles and installs cleanly on kernel 3.8.2, without the need for the 9.0.1 patch, or the ‘softlink’, as it now finds version.h correctly.
