3.8.3 – And all is Well..
Just updated the main system to Kernel 3.8.3, and everything works, as before. VMware 9.0.2 and NVIDIA 313.26 both compile and install/run without any problems.. This update contains several more ‘improvements’ for USB3 – amongst other things..
Details of all the changes, are here: https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/ChangeLog-3.8.3

Any tips how exactly to install VMware 9.0.2 on Fedora 18/ Kernel 3.8.3? Still getting the missing header files when I run the vmware application.
VMware 9.0.2 should install cleanly on the stock 3.8.3 kernel, from kernel.org, and picks up /usr/src/linux-3.8.3/include/uapi/linux/dvb/version.h.
I don’t use the Fedora RPM version of kernels, but you should have the appropriate kernel-devel RPM installed, to get the necessary header files..
