VMware 10 – No Patches Needed..
Just upgraded to VMware Workstation 10, and can confirm that it installs and runs on Kernel 3.11 without the need for any patches..
Now, all we need is for NVIDIA to release a 3.11-compatible version of their driver, and all will be well.. That is – until Kernel 3.12-rc1 is out!

Nice that VM10 is out without the need of patches. But when it comes to productivity, VM10 is ugly. I’m not able to install any VM with a Linux system. ISO’s right start (for instance Ubuntu 12.04.2 or 3 -> x86 o rx64) and run through the installation process without the chance to select any settings or interrupt the installation process. Spend 1 day yesterday to figure out what is the problem. I came to the point it is VM10 alone. I tested it on lower kernel numbers and 3.10 and 3.11. I came to the point that it seems like a bug in January this yr with misshandling of keymaps in VM is back and so on. Still figurein out which bug number it was.
Had no problems to install different distros (desktop & server) with VirtualBox 4.2.18 r88780. With VM10 everything messed up. I had no problems with Win installations so far.
