At Last – 3.11..
Linux Kernel 3.11 has – finally – been released.. Just missing the 22nd anniversary of Linux, and the anniversary of the release of Windows version 3.11 (‘Windows for Workgroups’)
As with the -rc versions mentioned in earlier articles, VMware 9.02 – with the 3.10 patches for vmnet and vmblock plus the additional 3.11 patch for vmblock, and NVIDIA driver 325.15 – with the 3.11 patch, both work OK..
$ uname -a
Linux rglinux 3.11.0 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Sep 2 22:38:26 BST 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Many thanks for your updates on K 3.11 with Nvidia 325. I don’t seem lucky like you are. Still, with or without 325-driver-patch, I get the same result. K 3.11 not working with driver version 319 an 325 either. Stepping back to 3.10.10 so far ….

The patch should work fine with the latest NVIDIA driver version 325.15.. I have applied it to two systems, without a problem..
Scroll down this article thread, to find the link to the patch, on PasteBin:

Robert, got it. thx a lot. Appreciate it.

Vmware 10 appears to fix all issues with newer kernels! No more patches required!
Thanks for the heads up..! For some reason, I never get the email notifications from VMware.. I’ll be upgrading later today..
