As reported by Walter Layher and Mal Haak, there is a now a patch available for the NVIDIA drivers on kernel 3.10-rc2, and it works successfully…

Update:
Tested with patched drivers 310.51 (Released) and 319.17 (Beta) on kernel 3.10-rc2, and both compile OK..
