Just updated the test system to 3.9-rc5, and VMware (9.0.2) and NVIDIA (310.40 and 313.26) all (still) compile OK..

Apparently, the released version of 3.9 will be in ”..a few weeks..”  (and that is about as specific as these predictions ever are!)
