I had been happy to use Swype on my old Samsung Galaxy ‘droid phone, but it was – sadly – not available on my new HTC One V..

Now, that has changed..    Swype (Beta) is now out, and I have installed it, and it works just fine..

I have found that Swype is a bit like Marmite – you either like it or hate it..    I quickly grew to like it, once I got used to the ‘Ouija Board’ method of input..    Once you get the hang of it, it is surprisingly fast!

The activation on the phone is slightly convoluted…   You have to first enable it under “Language & keyboard”, and then – also – enable it via (any) text entry screen, by pulling down the top tab, and then selecting it as the preferred ‘Input Method’..
