This compiles/runs OK with the latest (?) VMware 17.6.2 patchset (from https://github.com/64kramsystem/vmware-host-modules-fork/tree/workstation-17.6.2-sav ), and is OK with NVIDIA driver 550.142, and – sometimes – with the very latest 550.144.03, but there seem to be issues with this version (see separate article, coming soon)
