Kernel – 6.4-rc1 is Out – OK with latest VMware, and patch for NVIDIA..

As expected, VMware 17.0.2 with the appropriate patchset is OK, and there is a patch for NVIDIA available here: https://gist.github.com/joanbm/77f0650d45747b9a4dc8e330ade2bf5c
This is for version 470.xx but can easily be modified for 530.41.03.. I have done this, and the resulting code compiles OK, and runs correctly (tested with Fedora 38 / KDE, etc..)

In my case, unfortunately, hadn’t noticed before, but since I upgraded the kernel to 6.4-rc2, wmware-workstation 17 can’t complete the compilation of two specific kernel modules because it can’t find the kernel’s header files.
