Its Alive!
The APC(s) have finally arrived, after payment of ransom and ‘fees’ to the appropriate revenue authorities, and shipping organisations..
As expected, this is a typical Android 2.3 system, with a Linux heart, but many proprietary drivers and scripts, and reduced Linux command functionality..
I connected a USB/UART serial converter, and – so far – have a root (runlevel 1) shell available.
~ # uname -a
Linux localhost 2.6.32.9-default #14 Wed Mar 14 17:32:30 CST 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux
Several typical Linux commands seem to be missing, or limited in the detail of their output:
~ # lsusb -vv
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0a81:0101
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 046d:c52b
So – let the hacking begin!
where did you buy that USB/UART converter from?
thx, Willem
