As with 12.5.4, this is another security/fix release, and still supports Kernels 4.10 and earlier.    (see https://rglinuxtech.com/?p=1937 )

12.5.5 runs OK on Kernel 4.10.6, and the 4.11 vmmon and vmnet patches still apply (tested on 4.11-rc4)….
