Sad to hear that Mandriva has finally shut up shop… I remember some years ago (1998?) trying one of the original Mandrake distros – which was derived at that time from Red Hat.. Mandrake (France) later merged with Conectiva (Brazil) to become Mandriva.. As they were still using the RPM format for packaging, I was able to use their version if the X86/ARM GCC cross-compilers for several years, on my Fedora installation..
At least Mageia (a fork of Mandrake) still survives..
