Kernel – 6.17 is out… Almost No Surprises?

The latest NVIDIA driver 580.82.09 compiles OK, but I did find that running the NVxxx.run installer failed, and the driver had to be manually extracted, compiled and loaded, but this went ahead successfully.. On one system, the loading resulted in a blank screen, and this was fixed by rebooting the system.. This was not an issue with the 6.17-rc releases, but may be an isolated quirk?
The latest VMware driver 17.6.4 – with the Kernel 6.15/6.16 patches – installed OK..

VMware Workstation 25H2 was released this weekend. Needs no patches with kernel 6.17. Didn’t try 2.18rc
Thanks for the info… I didn’t get any notification from Broadcom, but that is not a surprise..
