I had tried running kernel 3.10, but encountered several problems.. The KDE desktop would ‘hang’, and the wifi connections (rt2800, using NetworkManager) refused to connect, most of the time, and kmix (sound mixer app) wouldn’t run.. The recently-released NVIDIA 325.08 driver does not compile with kernel 3.10, and the original ‘3.10 patch’ does not work, either.. There is a modified patch available, at https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/549208/linux/patch-for-325-08-on-linux-3-10/ This applies and compiles OK..
