I had tried running kernel 3.10, but encountered several problems.. The KDE desktop would ‘hang’, and the wifi connections (rt2800, using NetworkManager) refused to connect, most of the time, and kmix (sound mixer app) wouldn’t run.. The recently-released NVIDIA 325.08 driver does not compile with kernel 3.10, and the original ‘3.10 patch’ does not work, either.. Updated the test system to kernel 3.10-rc7, and the patched NVIDIA drivers for 310.51 and 319.23 compile OK, as before. VMware 9.02 – with the vmnet patch – compiles OK, except for vmblock..
