VMware – Workstation Pro 17.0.2 Released..

VMware have just updated VMware Workstation Pro to version 17.0.2, and details are here:  https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workstation-Pro/17.0.2/rn/vmware-workstation-1702-pro-release-notes/index.html Apart from the usual bugfixes, this also resolves some ‘critical’ security issues:  https://www.vmware.com/security/advisories/VMSA-2023-0008.html I have tested this (Fedora 38, Kernel 6.3.0) and the current 17.0.1 patchset for vmmon/vmnet still applies successfully..   I am sure there will be a specific 17.0.2 set soon.. … Continue reading →
