Kernel 7.2-rc1 is out, and brief details are here: https://lkml.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/2606.3/07038.html As with the pre-RC tests in a previous article, VMware 26H1 is OK, and NVIDIA 610.43.02 fails, but there are patches available to fix this – See https://rglinuxtech.com/?p=3479 for details, and a link to the patches.. Kernel – 7.2-rc Pre-testing… VMware is OK, but NVIDIA is Not – Fix Available..

Kernel 7.2-rc1 is due out next Sunday, but – as usual – I have tested the latest (June 23rd) GIT version, to see what breaks.. The latest VMware (26H1) is OK, but NVIDIA 610.43.02 compilation throws many errors, due to changes to drm_atomic_state and strncpy..
