I had been happy to use Swype<\/strong> on my old Samsung Galaxy ‘droid phone, but it was – sadly – not available on my new HTC One V..<\/p>\n

Now, that has changed.. \u00a0\u00a0 Swype (Beta) is now out, and I have installed it, and it works just fine..<\/p>\n

I have found that Swype is a bit like Marmite – you either like it or hate it..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I quickly grew to like it, once I got used to the ‘Ouija Board’ method of input..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Once you get the hang of it, it is surprisingly fast!<\/p>\n

The activation on the phone is slightly convoluted…\u00a0\u00a0 You have to first enable<\/em><\/strong> it under “Language & keyboard”, and then – also – enable it via (any) text entry screen, by pulling down the top tab, and then selecting<\/em><\/strong> it as the preferred ‘Input Method’..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
