Raspberry Pi finally arrived today..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Set up with Fedora ‘Respin’ FC14..<\/p>\n

Initial impressions..<\/p>\n

Confirmed what we already know – does _not_ support Class 10 SD Cards!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Had to do a quick install onto an old 2GB Class 4 card (not really big enough!**)… \u00a0\u00a0 32GB Class 4 card on order..<\/p>\n

First boot – prompts for user name and password..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For some reason, the user password didn’t work when I tried it, so had to use # passwd <user><\/strong> to set it again..\u00a0\u00a0 Then worked OK..<\/p>\n

Yum seems _very_ sluggish – similar to my Dreamplug..\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 May need to change formatting of SD Card, to improve this….\u00a0\u00a0 More research needed!<\/p>\n

One (slight) annoyance…\u00a0\u00a0 The kernel (3.1.9) has been compiled with debug enabled, so the console gets a bit swamped with ‘messages’…<\/p>\n

Overall – very impressed!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is amazing what they can cram into such a small area…\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hopefully there will be a newer kernel version \/ patches available soon..<\/p>\n
