Just updated the test system to Kernel 3.14-rc1, and did the usual tests with the latest VMware (10.0.1) and NVIDIA (331.38). VMware compile failed with the VMware version of vmci, but this can be fixed by selecting the kernel.org versions of these modules, from the standard 3.14-rc1 source tree. Just updated to Kernel 3.12.5, and quickly reverted to 3.12.4.. Update: the problem turned out to be a badly-timed coincidental update to MariaDB (5.5.34)..
